Hope Your Birthday is…

Hello, It is time for the next Topping over at Seize the Birthday. This time Shirley has a fun one for us. The Topping is off the Edge and you can interpret that in many ways. You can take your design to extend off the edge of the card like I have done, or you can have your image end where the card base ends, or any other way you can think of to achieve this idea.

A Few Card Details: The set I mostly used for this card is from Papertrey Ink and it’s called Beach Bag Die. This is not mine and belongs to a friend. The three things that are not from this kit are the Flip Flops, the white leaves (MFT), and the sentiment (Honey Bee). The DSP is from Pink and Main. I used Clear Nuvo drops to make the lenses in my glasses shine. I did some ink blending on the hat and the sunglasses. This set is as cute as it can be and is actually a gift card holder if you wish as the Beach bag opens.

On the inside of the card, the sentiment finishes off and reads…Hope your Birthday is Flippin Fabulous.

I really enjoyed this Topping idea, Shirley! I hope you will come by the Seize the Birthday Blog and see how my Teammates and our two guests interpreted this Topping. We have Milla and Jolanda joining us! Welcome, ladies.

Have a wonderful day! Nanc’

You’re the Best

Hello, I hope you are having a good day. I am finally starting to feel a bit like myself after being under the weather since Saturday evening. I finally found a wee bit of energy to make a CAS card.

Have you seen the newest Better Press plate called-Cheers to You Sentiments, released this month? It comes with 7 different phrases. What I love most about it is, that you can press all the sentiments at once and then cut them all at once too. There is nothing better than having sentiments on hand for your next card.

I decided to pull out the set Sitting Pretty once again as that tiny bird is just so cute. Next, I found some pretty paper that I picked up at Hobby Lobby eons ago and had yet to use. The DSP has a lot of cream in it, so I decided to use that same color for my flowers and base. The Nestled Hemstitch Rectangles that I used on the mauve background elevate any card, and I really like them. The Gold Glitter Cardstock is also from Spellbinders.

This card came together very quickly and was initially inspired by The Paper Players CAS Spring Flowers Challenge.

If you place an order after clicking on one of the links below, I will receive a small commission, and also get to continue as an affiliate with Spellbinders at no cost to you. I certainly appreciate your support! Thank you so much!

Wishing You a Day…

Hello, I have been under the weather since the weekend but luckily have yet to share this card showcasing the latest sentiment set by Stampendous and Spellbinders. It is called Birthday Messages. It is a great set with quite a few wonderful phrases.

Now, what is a birthday without sparkly party hats and streamers? I used the fabulous Birthday Wreath Add-Ons set once again. Plus, I can’t forget the pretty EOM- Faux Stitched Petal. I used the debossed side again. I actually think I prefer it. I think it looks like candles. I also used some white glitter paper for the ruffle parts of the hats and the Notched Corner Frames. The most time-consuming part was putting the dots and stars back in the hats. I find intricate work enjoyable so I didn’t mind at all.

As you know photographing mainly white cards can be difficult and this card looks quite a bit better in person.

Happy, Happy Birthday

Hello friends, I have a Birthday card today using a mix of products from Spellbinders. I just love a Black, White, and Pink color palette, don’t you?

A Few Card Details: It all began with this pretty EFOM-Faux Stitched Petal. I decided I wanted to use the debossed side of the EF for this card, I thought it was so defined and so pretty. Next, I used the Buffalo Plaid Better Press Plate to make my checkered paper so that I could cut out the word Happy. Happy is from the SDOM-Faux Stitched Sentiments and Floss. The product that I used for the rest of the sentiment is one I have not shared yet. It is a fabulous BP plate called Cheers to You Sentiments. I love that you can simultaneously press the (7) greetings and then cut them all out. Then you have the rest of the unused sentiments waiting in the wings.

Of course, there is no Birthday celebration without the adorable Balloon toting Panda from a few months ago. I especially like her glasses. I used Nuvo drops and glitter on the balloon. The inside of the card was stamped with a new set from Stampendous/Spellbinders called Birthday Messages. I have stamped that (not pictured) on the inside of my card. As you can see I used MANY products on this card and they are all listed below.

Just Keep Swimming

Hello friends, I have jumped into Summer today ( since our temps are already there) with this darling Pixi Dust Designs die set called Just Keep Swimming. It is absolutely the cutest and was originally designed as a Slimline set but I changed it up a bit to an A2 size. All I had to do was make a stencil out of the background, and only use two of the three free-form holes. I have the set pictured below so you can see what I mean. The possibilities are endless on what you can do with this darling set.

This set is on sale through Tomorrow, so if you are interested, don’t delay! It is jam-packed with so many dies!

I just love the little sea creatures. Which one is your favorite? I think mine is the octopi or perhaps the seahorse. 🤔

A Few Card Details: I made my own stencil with a piece of Acetate as I knew I wanted to make an A2 size card rather than a slimline. Next, I taped off the part of the die that I would not be using and then used Salty Ocean Oxide Inks for my background. Next, I splattered it with water to get the bubbles/water effect. After I die-cut the rest of the elements for this card, I used various other inks from either SSS or Oxides to add some dimension. All that was left to do was to assemble. A few sequins finished it off.

I am playing along with the Doube D Challenge as their theme is-Water Related.

Those We Love…

Hello friends, I am back with a Sympathy card today using a fantastic new set by Stampendous and Spellbinders released this month. The set is called Sincere Sentiments. If this set looks a bit familiar keep reading. Also if you are looking for a set for these types of cards, look no further. I really like it and I have it pictured for you below.

I have this set on a larger scale and use it all the time. What I think is so interesting is that the stamp set I own is all one piece, and I wish it wasn’t for years. Below is a card using the older version to see what I mean. This sentiment is such a classic and perfect for a sympathy card! I love that I now have the set on a smaller scale with multiple pieces including different sentiments.

A Few Details: I used a mix of foliage from Spellbinders for accent and have everything listed below. The background is a piece of DSP that has a nice grunge look to it. After I stamped the background, I cut an oval out to place the sentiment in the center. All the foliage was sponged with various inks including the mushrooms. Foam Squares for dimension and a few paper glitter gems to finish it off.

If you place an order after clicking on one of the links below, I will receive a small commission, and also get to continue as an affiliate with Spellbinders at no cost to you. I certainly appreciate your support! Thank you so much!

Thanks for Helping Me Grow

Welcome back friends, I hope you are doing well. I have another card for you today using the Propagated Plants Die set designed by Annie Williams and Spellbinders. I like the variety of plants in this collection and could not love the Propagation Garden Sentiment set anymore. It is really wonderful and some of the sentiments even have matching dies. The background of my card is a gorgeous piece of vellum. I think this would make a cute Mother’s Day card.

I am also using a new to me set from Spellbinders that I picked up on one of their sales recently, and it’s the Picket Fence Die that also comes with the blades of grass. I have wanted a fence to add to my collection for eons. By the way, if you need a Picket Fence to add to your collection, it is still on Sale!

Speaking of Sales, Spellbinders has an amazing Spring Cleaning Sale going on right now. Some products are as cheap as $1.00. It is really worth checking out.

Thinking of You at CH

Hello friends, It is the middle of the month and time for the New Hues of Colors at Color Hues. Hannelie has chosen the colors of Yellow and Pink. I am using more of the April release at Spellbinders for my card design. I have the Angel Trumpet Die once again as my focal point it is part of the Fresh Picked Collection. I also used the Buffalo Plaid Better Press Plate for the background. This is the first time I have used this plate and I like it a lot. I reached for the sentiment from the Propagation Garden Sentiment set. The Gold Glitter Cardstock is from Spellbinders as well.

I adding a bit of sponging with some Walnut Stain Oxide Ink which made my leaves a deep yellow. At first, I was on the fence about whether I liked it or not but after I put the gold splatters on the background, it really started to grow on me! PUN intended! 😝 The splats are gold metallic paint.

I think tying in the pink and gold with the paper strips at the top, the gold flower centers, and the heart die in the bottom corner really helped too. I heat-embossed the sentiment with gold embossing powder and raised it with Foam Squares.

Every Flavor of Happy

Hello, I am happy to be back with another card using my favorite food group! 😝 In all seriousness, this set from Pixi Dust Designs called Ice Cream Sundae is just too much fun to put away, plus it just so happens to still be on sale. The sale ends tonight, so if you are interested I have it linked for you below.

A Few Card Details: The background is a stencil called Warped from Pink and Main. I used three colors of Oxide Inks- Kitsch Flamingo, Squeezed Lemonade, and Twisted Citron to do all my ink blending. The sentiment is from My Favorite Things in the Every Flavor of Happy set. The party streamers are from Spellbinders in the Birthday Wreath Add-On Set. I also sponged those in the same three colors. I inked the cone in Walnut Stain. The cherry has clear Nuvo drops on it to make it shine. A few sequins finished it off.

As you can see by this photo this card has lots of dimension.

My card was inspired by the pretty colors over at The Color Throwdown this week.

You Brighten My Day

Hello friends, I hope your day is going well. I mixed some new Spellbinder products released this month with a few older ones on today’s card. This card took many different directions before landing here. We all have cards like that, don’t we?

The sentiment set that I used is from Stampendous and is called All the Sentiments Clear Stamps and Die Set. It is packed with some beautifully bold fonts like the word YOU and many other sentiments to complete your phrase. I have a picture of it below so you can see what I mean. I think the main font is just so pretty and it stamps so cleanly. I know I will get a lot of use out of this set in the future.

The YOU that I have repeated in the background is from the Small Die of the Month called Faux Stitched Sentiments and Floss. When the card was already put together I decided to add the black hearts, and probably overdid it a bit. I used the Notched Corner Frames and a banner die as well. I have all listed below for you.

If you place an order after clicking on one of the links below, I will receive a small commission, and also get to continue as an affiliate with Spellbinders at no cost to you. I certainly appreciate your support! Thank you so much!
