Hello, It’s that time again! We have a Photo Challenge for you starting over at Just Us Girls. I had a lot of fun with this challenge. I first used one of my favorite stencils to make a background with my Oxide Inks. Then I decided to do a little emboss resist to mimic the new growth peering through the snow in the photo. Last, I got out my stitched flowers from MFT and sponged them with some of the same colors from the background. The sentiment is from Close to My Heart. The entire sentiment will read…..A true friend remembers your birthday …..but not your age.

Such detail here Nancy. So beautifully put together with all those gorgeous colours. Love the scallop die cuts and those flowers are fabulously coloured and placed.

That background is gorgeous! The colors are so soft and blended perfectly. Love the stenciling and the emboss resist. So pretty how you sponged the little flowers framing that awesome sentiment, too!

Well this is stunning, and it’s getting pinned. I love your soft colors – only achieved with Oxides. There is no other medium that gives this look and you have used them beautifully. LOVE the flowers too – I must pull out my die set, these are just gorgeous!!!
