Hello, Today’s card is for the next color challenge at Color Hues. Our colors are Navy and Turquoise this time around. I needed to work on my stock of Sympathy cards and I often times I need more of a masculine card and thought this might be okay. Is it okay to put fish on Sympathy cards? I am thinking now that it is somewhat strange. This is one of my favorite stamp sets from Stampin Up. I used kraft as one of my neutrals, and that is perfectly fine over at Color Hues as neutrals are always welcome.
We had such a phenomenal array of cards and turn out for our first challenge I am equally excited to see what the gallery has in store this time around! I am feeling very blessed with the outpouring of support.
Hope you will pop on over to Color Hues and check out the Design Team’s cards they are fabulous once again.
Take care, Nanc’

I love how you used one of my favorite sets and it’s fresh with these colors and a sympathy theme. Your card is gorgeous and suitable for either gender, I think.

I don’t see why fish should be any less appropriate for a sympathy card than, say, birds. (I have made a bird sympathy card or three in my time…) I love the way you used our colours, with touches of navy to offset the pretty turquoise. So beautiful and serene.

The kraft was the perfect choice to make the blues pop. I can’t think of a reason why you can’t have fish on a sympathy cards, it works well for a masculine one too. 🙂

I know what you mean about wanting more masculine sympathy cards, Nancy. I think yours fits the bill. I love the soft colors and the blue fins on the fish.

I think you’ve made a wonderful masculine sympathy card; the fish, especially in the challenge hues, are are most appropriate. The kraft framing is an eye-catching touch. A most handsome card, indeed!

I think the fish and the colour scheme make this a very tranquil card.
Perfect for the sympathy sentiment.
